2024 Chevy Avalanche Coming Back: Changes, Specs, and Rumors

2024 Chevy Avalanche Coming Back: Changes, Specs, and Rumors. Is General Motors bringing back the famous full-size Chevrolet Avalanche truck? Well, that depends on a couple of things. The Michigan-based automaker must make a room for this kind of vehicle in the lineup. Of course, fans will love to see the brand-new 2024 Chevy Avalance on the street. The idea only sounds great? Where the vehicle like that could fit in the modern-day industry.

One of the answers might be that the Avalanche becomes a sporty truck, built on the unibody architecture. This type of vehicle won’t have a crowded class to compete with. The only available model with a unibody platform in the States is the Honda Ridgeline.

The new Avalance could come as a smaller version of its predecessors. If the GM produce such compact pickup, it will be excellent answers to the Blue Oval’s Courier, which is under development for a while now. As our readers could probably recall, General Motors discontinued Avalanche back in 2012.

The main reason was rather poor results on the market. The same season we see the discontinuation of the Cadillac Escalade EXT. The truck class in the hot thing in the auto industry at the moment, Almost every manufactures is working on a new model of once-famous models or developing a brand-new pickup. Well, GM is covered in every popular segment. The company needs a new vehicle. COuld it be the return of 2024 Chevy Avalanche?

What’s General Motors Strategy?

Lately, General Motors revealed its new slogan– Our Electric Future Is Now. What’s the making of that? Well, according to the image they put beside the slogan, it seems like the company is going for the electric pickup. Could it be 2024 Chevy Avalanche?

At the moment, it’s hard to tell. We are positive that GM is planning to produce all-electric pickup in the future. When? The all-electric Hummer is definitely coming soon. If the Avalanche goes through electrification, the first thing it must provide is at least 300 miles of driving range.

Any range below that means failure, and it will kill the company’s chance in the electric pickup segment. Still, there is no further information about GM’s strategy. We can only assume that the new Avalance will debut after the release of the all-electric Hummer.

2024 Chevy Avalanche and the Competition

2024 Chevy Avalanche will have to earn a spot in the GM’s starting lineup. If the truck comes next season, we assume that it will be in the shadow of Colorado and announced Silverado models. It will be easier against the rest of the competition. Well, if we take a look at the electric pickup market, the only confirmed model is Tesla Cybertruck.

Plenty of others are on the way. Let’s just mention a few of them: Rivian R1T, Lordstown Motors Endurance, and Bollinger B2. We might see the good old rivalry American between Ford Courier and the Avalance. In that case, the battle will take place in the compact pickup class. There’s the unibody platform option.

Well, except for the Ridgeline, there’s no other truck with this kind of architecture. The sales of Honda’s truck are very low. It will be a logical move for GM to test the mid-size market with a new model.
