2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Redesign, Price, Specs, and Engines. Famous for an excellent combination of luxury and exceptional off-road capabilities, the legendary SUV is going through really hard times these days. We haven’t seen bigger changes since 2006, which was the last time this model was redesigned. Moreover, the current generation is outdated by many standards, so it’s no wonder China is the only market you can still find it. All this indicates soon discontinuation but the latest reports suggest we may see a completely new model after all. Considering that Mitsubishi is now part of the Renault Nissan Alliance, this makes more sense. Most experts believe that Nissan and Mitsubishi will join their forces and create new generations of Patrol and Pajero together. The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero would share a lot of design characteristics with another legend, which promises a lot.
Still, keep in mind that this is just speculation at the moment and that we are still waiting to hear something from the officials. At this point, the new Mitsubishi Pajero 2024 is still far away from us, as development hasn’t even started.
2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, we presume that the 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero would feature the same engines as Patrol. That probably means we are about to see a well-known 5.6-liter V8, which currently delivers around 400 horsepower.
Also, there’s a chance to see a new V6, instead of the current 4.0-liter unit. A 3.0-liter turbo V6 is the first one that comes to mind. This engine can be found in many Infiniti models and comes in two output versions, with either 300 or 400 horsepower. Also, we are pretty sure that the new SUV will also be offered in a diesel version.
2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Redesign
As we already mentioned, the current generation is pretty old, outdated by any standards of the modern automotive industry. That’s the reason why it is only available in China at the moment. The new model would bring significant improvements. The first thing that comes to mind is cooperation with Nissan. This would mean a lot of things shared with the Nissan Patrol, particularly in terms of the mechanics.
At this point, it looks like Nissan doesn’t plan to give up from the well-known F-Alpha platform, so we may expect that the next generations of Pajero and Patrol would ride on it. Of course, improvements are expected, particularly in terms of weight reduction and overall efficiency.
2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Size
Of course, another thing that bothers us is the size. Pajero is formally still a full-size SUV, but gove the current wheelbase that measures under 110 inches, it is more a mid-size SUV by today’s standards. We count on a significant size increase, so the new model should go all-away up to over 120 inches in wheelbase. This refers to a long-wheelbase version. On the other side, it is still unclear whether the new model is about to come in a shorter 3-door variant or not.
Styling and Interior Design
When it comes to the styling, we have no doubt that the new Mitsubishi Pajero 2024 will tend to accentuate its body-on-frame character, as well as prominent off-road capabilities. It will follow the current design language, but with an additional dose of sturdiness, which would provide a bolder and more rugged look, along with all those typical off-road goodies, including bumper designs that provide high approach and departure angles.
The interior is still a mystery, of course, We may only presume that the new 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero would get a completely new layout, with higher quality, more style and loads of new tech features. A longer wheelbase should provide more legroom, as well as more cargo volume.
2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Release Date and Price
The 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero is still just a theory at the moment, so we won’t speculate about the price. On the other side, we may presume that the starting price would be typical for the segment, which means somewhere between 45.000 and 50.000 dollars.
