2024 Mitsubishi Pajero: Specs, Interior, Redesign, and Price

2024 Mitsubishi Pajero: Specs, Interior, Redesign, and Price. The Pajero was sold in less than half units compared to the smaller Pajero Sport but it manages to outsell a newer Ford Everest in Australia. The all-new 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero could reportedly arrive in 2024 and return to Japan, UK and other markets where it was axed.

Mitsubishi hasn’t yet commented on the rumors about the new-generation Pajero and the prototype version hasn’t also been spotted on the roads to support the claims about the arrival of the redesigned model. The reports on their hand suggest that the new Pajero should come on the new platform with the plug-in hybrid setup and new tech and safety features. The model should also adopt the brand’s newest design philosophy.

2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Powertrain

The new-generation 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero should come on the new Mitsubishi-Nissan alliance ladder-chassis architecture made from the lightweight materials which will have a positive effect on the model’s driving dynamics and efficiency. It will also allow the implementation of the electrified powertrain and modern electric systems.

The redesigned Pajero is said to get a similar powertrain setup as the upcoming Outlander. The engine that should be under the hood of the new Outlander should produce around 126 hp while two electric motors should contribute with 93 hp.

The current Pajero can be had with various engine options depending on the market. Buyers can choose between 3.0-liter V-6, 3.5-liter V-8 and 3.8-liter MIVEC V-6 petrol engine or pick one of the turbodiesel units including the 2.8-liter and 3.2-liter four-cylinder options.

The current Pajero earned a strong reputation for its durable independent suspension setup and reliable 3.2- and 3.8-liter engines.

2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Design

We haven’t yet encountered solid proof that the new-generation 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero is in works but various reports appeared suggesting what we should expect if the fifth-generation Pajero reaches the market.

The reports indicate that the redesigned Pajero should switch to the new ladder-chassis platform which will allow an implementation of the plug-in hybrid powertrain and active safety systems which is not the case with the current design. The new version should stay similarly sized as the current, fourth-generation version which measures 192.6 inches in length while riding on the 109.4-inch wheelbase.

From the visual point of view, the new Pajero should adopt the brand’s new design language and styling cues from the Mitsubishi GC PHEV Concept from the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The front section should get a new Dynamic shield grille mixed with the split-headlight design like on the upcoming Outlander.

The model will also come with the resculpted side body panels and revised roofline. The rear side should look wide and simple and there will be new design taillights and rear bumper.

Interior, Equipment

While we have some idea about the model’s potential exterior styling and size, the interior remains a mystery.

What is sure, the new 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero will come with the redesigned dash and more comfortable seats but it will also employ the newest tech and safety features including driver active aids. There will also be plenty of room for passengers and cargo. Buyers will also choose between more and less premium cabin options and various trim inserts.

2024 Mitsubishi Pajero Release Date, Price

Mitsubishi hasn’t yet confirmed the arrival of the fifth-generation Pajero and all reports about this model we should take with a dose of skepticism.

The reports suggest that the all-new version could be revealed sometime in 2024 as the 2024 Mitsubishi Pajero or in early 2024 as the 2024 model. The new-gen Pajero would likely have a slightly more premium price than the current version.
