2025 Kia Sorento Interior, Price, Release Date, Redesign. Kia has given the mid-cycle refresh to its mid-size crossover SUV, the 2025 Kia Sorento. The refreshed version brings upgrades on all fronts.
The new Sorento is now seven-seat crossover SUV in every trim. Kia offers this model in five trim options. Buyers will choose between L, LX, EX, SX and SXL. Across the range, the Sorento will come with updated six-speed transmission and new 8-speed automatic. Kia continues with the inline-4 and V-6 engines to the new model year but dropped the 2.0-liter turbo-4. The diesel-powered version will also arrive.
With the updated powertrains, the new Sorento also benefits from a light exterior and interior upgrades. Kia also brings the updated tech and safety gear.
2025 KIA SORENTO NEW
In addition to some minor exterior styling tweaks, the refreshed 2025 Kia Sorento gets three-row seating as standard and adds full LED headlights as an option. The base L trim gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen as standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Models with the optional V-6 engine now come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the optional 2.0-liter turbo-four has been discontinued.
Trim Levels (Interior and Exterior Options).
The 2025 Kia Sorento is a midsize three-row crossover that’s available in front- or all-wheel drive configurations and comes standard with seating for up to seven passengers. It’s available in five trim levels.
Sorento L: The base Sorento L comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 3.5-inch multi-information display, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, cloth upholstery, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, a six-speaker audio system, a USB port, and keyless entry.
Sorento LX: Moving up to the LX trim adds front seatback pockets, auto up and down front windows, blind-spot monitoring, two additional charge only USB ports, and rear cross-traffic alert. The LX V-6 adds an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat and dual-zone climate control.
Sorent0 EX: The EX adds 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, roof rails, a 7.0-inch multi-information display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, interior mood lighting, leather upholstery, an eight-way power adjustable front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, keyless start, a programmable hands-free power liftgate and rear parking sensors.
Sorento SX: Jumping up to the SX gets you 19-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, navigation, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, and front parking sensors.
Sorento SXL: The range-topping SXL trim comes standard with features including full LED headlights, a 360-degree view camera system, heated outboard second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, and LED fog lights.
2025 KIA SORENTO POWERTRAINS.
For the 2025 model year, Kia discontinued a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine. The base engine remains a 2.4-liter four-cylinder but comes now with the upgraded six-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 185 horsepower.
A more powerful option will be familiar 3.3-liter V-6 combined with the new 8-speed transmission. This engine provides 290 hp and like the base, version comes with either front or all-wheel drive. The all-wheel-drive V-6 Sorento can tow up to 5, 000 pounds.

Kia also promised to offer the diesel-powered Sorento in the US. A 2.4-liter inline-4 turbodiesel from the Euro version is the candidate. This engine makes 197 hp and torque 325 pound-feet.
2025 KIA SORENTO DESIGN.
From the visual perspective, the 2025 Kia Sorento isn’t much different from the version it replaces. The new version has tweaked tiger nose grille and headlights. The Sorentos in two top trims will have full-LED headlights while the LED taillights will be on the EX and higher versions.
The refreshed Sorento also comes with the reworked rear bumper and “ice cube”- style LED fog lights. The new wheel designs will also be available in 17- and 19-inch diameters.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT.
Inside the cabin, buyers will notice a new steering wheel and dashboard will also house upgraded instrument cluster design and the design of the air vents. The two top trims also come with better materials and attractive Nappa Leather upholstery and two-tone Terracotta patterns.
Equipment wise, the refreshed Sorento benefits from updated infotainment system. Now standard is a 7-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. As an upgrade, available will be an 8-inch infotainment system version.

On the safety front, the new Sorento will offer the suite of active safety systems on the EX and higher-spec versions. The systems included will be adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and surround-view system.
2025 KIA SORENTO RELEASE DATE, PRICE.
The 2025 Kia Sorento will go on sale in 2025. Kia hasn’t revealed the pricing yet but it is expected to start at around $26, 000.
