2024 Volvo XC90 Redesign, Release Date, Changes, Price. The mid-size Volvo XC90 is the major player in the class and for the brand. Volvo also has very good infotainment system but also has good road manners while buyers can choose between turbocharged or hybrid powertrains.

2024 VOLVO XC90 POWERTRAINS, MPG
On the performance front, the 2024 Volvo XC90 returns with the trio of the powertrains.
The base T5 powertrain includes the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the combination with the 8-speed auto gearbox. The front-wheel drive is standard and the all-wheel drive optional. The T5 delivers 250 hp and torque of 258 pound-feet while returns 24 mpg combined.
The 2.0-liter turbo and supercharged four-cylinder rise the performance bar to 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This version is the all-wheel drive only and the fuel economy is rated at 23 mpg combined.
The T8 plug-in hybrid also uses the T6 supercharged engine and in the combination with the 87-hp electric motor and 10.4-kWh battery. It also the all-wheel-drive-only and delivers 400 hp and 472 pound-feet of torque combined. The all-electric range according to EPA is 14 miles and with the empty battery, 27 mpg combined.
CHANGES
The new Harman Kardon stereo system will appear in the R-Design and Inscription versions. The base all-wheel-drive models will receive the four-zone climate control and heated seats while Volvo will quit the Momentum Plus and Convenience packages.
2024 VOLVO XC90 STYLING
The styling of the 2024 Volvo XC90 won’t change as this model was recently redesigned and its design theme defined the path for the other crossovers that entered the market after it.

The styling of the Volvo XC90 is well balanced and it doesn’t try to look aggressive yet looks elegant and classy. Volvo’s signature grille and Thor’s Hammer headlights have the almost identical form as on the recently all-new XC60 and the XC40.
2024 VOLVO XC90 INSIDE
Inside the cabin, the XC90 gets high scores and is the class leader in some aspects. The material and build quality are very good while the seat comfort is where Volvo shines. The dash has vertical touchscreen orientation and Volvo also has nice metal and wood interior accents.
With the great passenger comfort, the XC90 also provides good cargo space and maxes at 85.7 cubes. With the rear row out the function, it is at 41.8 cubes and with the all seats up delivers 15.8 cubes for the gear.
2024 VOLVO XC90 EQUIPMENT
The Volvo XC90 returns in the Momentum, R-Design, Inscription and Excellence trims.
The Inscription also updates the exterior styling, wheels, and upholstery. The Excellence improves the leather upholstery further and also adds 21-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, 19 speaker system, refrigerator, etc.

The 2024 Volvo XC90 will hit the market this fall. The price range will be from $47, 200 to $104, 900.
